What are digital pins?
Physical pin culture met phones. People still chase character art from Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars, trade with other fans, and show off a board. The board is a Pinbook. The pins themselves live in Disney Pinnacle, the official app and site from Dapper Labs — not on this club site.
Officially, a digital pin is that artwork plus a digital token on the Flow blockchain, with a limited license to the art. That token is an NFT. In club conversation, everyone just says “pin.”

The longer version is What are digital pins?, then how Disney Pinnacle fits together. Current purchase rules are on Digital Pins 101.
Why do people get hooked?
The hook is the same one as enamel pins or a binder of trading cards: a set to finish, a hunt with a clock on it, and something you can show a friend. It is a hobby, not a market to watch.
- Sets. Most pins belong to a themed set. Collect one of each design and the set is complete. How drops work covers the windows.
- The Revolving Storefront. A rotating shop, typically about every four hours, where you can pick up one of each pin in that window. Confirm the live timer in the app.
- Mystery Capsules. Each capsule reveals one pin. Variants collectors talk about include Chaser, Digital Display, Silver Sparkle, and Golden. Chaser and Digital Display pins come from capsules, not the storefront. Sparkle and Golden pins can also show up in a storefront window. Each capsule’s odds are on its own page — this guide does not repeat them. Names and treatments are on Pin Variations and Variants.
- Trading. Fans trade with each other around the clock, filling the gaps in a set.
- Pinbooks. A Starter Pinbook holds up to nine pins, which is plenty for a first board you are proud to show. See Pinbooks.
How do I start?
You do not need a big plan. Digital Pin Club does not sell pins. Anything you buy is on Disney Pinnacle, and the rules for that shop are on Digital Pins 101.
Try this week
- If a Welcome Bundle is offered, start there. The official offer is limited to one purchase per customer while it is up. Read what is in the bundle before you buy.
- Then open the Revolving Storefront and pick one set piece you actually want. You can buy only one of the same pin from the storefront in a given window.
- Only after you have read the odds on that capsule’s detail page, optionally open one Mystery Capsule. If that page is confusing, skip the capsule. The storefront pin is enough for a first week.
How do I get a friend interested?
Lead with a character they already love. Show the art, then the hobby — not a checkout link. If they already love Ratatouille, the current run on the official releases page is Ratatouille Vol.2, released in four weekly waves starting with Remy and Linguini, then Colette and Horst. Open that page with them and let the characters do the introduction.
Then open a Pinbook — yours, or one shared in the community — and let the board do the talking. Pinbooks are built to be shown to friends.

Invite them to the release calendar or a club hangout, or to read Pin Press, instead of sending them to buy something. The sentence you want is “come look at this.”
Where do I belong next?
This is a club, not a store. The useful next stop is people and timing: the calendar for what is coming, the guides for the vocabulary, and the community for collectors who will answer a beginner question. Pin Press is the week in one note.
If they want a data desk later, Pinsider.io is the club’s. Prices and the Editions catalog are included free right now, Pro is optional, and nobody needs it to enjoy a first Pinbook.
What else should I know?
Is Digital Pin Club official?
No. Digital Pin Club is independent and is not run by Disney or Dapper Labs. We do not sell pins. Accounts, purchases, and trades happen in Disney Pinnacle.
Do I need crypto?
No. You do not need to buy cryptocurrency or learn a blockchain to enjoy the hobby. Disney Pinnacle uses a Dapper Wallet with the account, and purchases happen in the official shop. Payment methods change, so read Digital Pins 101 before you spend anything.
Can I start for free, or keep it cheap?
Yes. Reading the guides, following the calendar, and spending time in the community are free. This club does not sell pins. If you buy a pin, you buy it on Disney Pinnacle.
How is trading different from the Marketplace?
Trading is two collectors swapping pins inside Disney Pinnacle. Both people have to accept, each side includes at least one pin, and a finished trade cannot be undone. The Marketplace is the official website where collectors buy and sell. Digital Pin Club does not run either one, and we do not sell pins.
Purchase rules, the Welcome Bundle, and the Revolving Storefront are documented on Digital Pins 101. Variant names are on Pin Variations and Variants. Trading between collectors is also covered in Trading & Marketplace, and buying or selling on the web happens on the official Marketplace. The Disney Pinnacle FAQ still describes the product and Pinbooks in plain language. When a help article and the app disagree, trust the app and Digital Pins 101.
